Generator
The electric power is generated by a permanent magnet rotating at high speed. The generator rotor is suspended by two bearing, one on each side of a permanent magnet. Furthermore, the generator acts as an electric starter. The generator is water-cooled, and designed for high conversion efficiency.

Electrical system
The frequency AC power from the generator is rectified and converted to DC and then converted to three-phase AC. A line filter stabilizes and smoothes the AC output. During start-up, power is taken from the grid and used for electric start of the gas turbine.
