Q: Why use the T100 CHP??
A: It keeps electricity costs low and, because it has few moving parts, it requires little maintenance and is extremely reliable. It runs quietly and produces minimal emissions. It is also light, requires little space and is easy to install..

Q: Can the T100 CHP run at part-load and, if so, how will it affect electrical efficiency?
A: Yes, it can be modulated down to 50 % (50 kWe) of rated output and lose only a few percentage points of electrical efficiency.

Q: What is a recuperator and why is it an important part of the T100 CHP?
A: A recuperator is an air-to-air heater. It uses heat from the exhaust gases to preheat the compressed air prior to combustion. Preheating improves electrical efficiency substantially...

Q: How many years will the T100 CHP last?
A: It is designed to run for 60,000 hours. Therefore, if you run it for 6000 hours per year (and follow the maintenance instructions), it will last ten years.

Q: Which fuels can a microturbine run on?
A: It can run on a large variety of fuels such as natural gas, diesel and propane. It can also run on recoverable gases such as sewage gas, landfill gas and mine gas.

Q: Where will the T100 CHP be used?
A: Any place where there is a need for heat is a good location for it. Because it produces such low levels of harmful emissions, it can be used in areas where other types of equipment will be prohibited for environmental reasons.

Q: How much space do you need for the T100 CHP?
A: The unit in it self is 2920 mm long, 870 mm wide and 1900 mm high. Allowing space for fuel compressor and door panels on the unit to open, a footprint of around 5500 mm 3200 mm is usally required.

Q: Can the T100 be used to provide cooling as well as heating?
A: The unit can be linked to an absorbtion chiller to provide cooling. Turbec have realationship with some of the main absorption chiller suppliers. Please contact Turbec for more details.

Q: Can the T100 be monitored and started/stopped remotely?
A: The unit comes with full telemetry package and can be monitored and controlled remotely from a PC.
